LATAM Payroll Manager

About the role

Gensler is seeking an experienced LATAM Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations across Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia, Dominican Republic and Argentina. Based daily in the Costa Rica office, you will ensure accurate, compliant and timely payroll processing while partnering with HR, Tax, Treasury, Accounting and external providers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end payroll for five LATAM countries, reviewing salary adjustments, retroactive payments, bonuses, off‑cycle and termination payrolls.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex payroll issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain compliance with local payroll, tax, labor and statutory regulations, including profit‑sharing, Aguinaldo and social security requirements.
• Oversee statutory filings, tax remittances and related reporting.
• Lead a team of two payroll professionals, providing coaching and performance management.
• Coordinate with regional and global payroll initiatives, driving process improvements and governance.
• Manage relationships with external payroll vendors and ensure service delivery standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multi‑country payroll operations in a fast‑paced, multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of LATAM payroll, tax and labor regulations.
• Ability to solve complex payroll challenges and implement continuous improvements.
• Leadership experience, capable of developing high‑performing teams.
• Excellent collaboration skills to build partnerships across HR, Finance and external providers.
