Junior Architect

About the role

As a Junior Architect at Gensler you will work alongside experienced architects and designers to develop innovative design solutions and guide projects through the construction administration phase. You will translate sketches and documents into 3D models and detailed working drawings while addressing technical challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and technical delivery of architectural projects.
• Apply architectural principles, codes, material characteristics and technical details throughout project development.
• Focus on design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
• Collaborate with design teams, clients, consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies and vendors.
• Produce accurate BIM models and construction drawings.
• Resolve complex technical and design challenges with innovative, constructible solutions.
• Support sustainability goals and conduct climate‑focused analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or equivalent.
• Licensed or registered architect.
• At least 1 year of experience in an architectural practice.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication, teamwork and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign and Microsoft Office.
• Experience creating BIM models and detailed construction drawings.
• Knowledge of building codes, standards, construction methods and structural systems.
• Familiarity with Illustrator, Rhino and Grasshopper is a plus.
