About the role
A company based in Escazú, Costa Rica is looking for a responsible, organized and detail-oriented Junior Accounts Payable Assistant. The position is full-time and 100% on-site, and immediate availability is required.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, review and register vendor invoices
- Prepare payment requests and follow up until payments are completed
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Keep accounts payable records organized and up to date
Required profile
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- At least 1 year of accounting or accounts payable experience
- Experience performing or assisting with account reconciliations
- English level C1 (at least 90% proficiency)
- Resides near Escazú and can start immediately, with no notice period
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Preferred: strong organization, proactive attitude, excellent attention to detail, strong communication and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
