Issue Management Lead Analyst

About the role

The Issue Management Lead Analyst will coordinate the end‑to‑end handling of operational issues across Citi, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Working closely with business units, internal audit and senior management, you will drive the investigation, remediation and closure of control gaps and findings.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating issue management activities with key stakeholders throughout the issue lifecycle.
• Conduct quality reviews of issues to ensure adherence to Issue Management Policy, Standards and Procedures.
• Maintain a comprehensive issue inventory, track metrics and provide regular reporting on issue status and remediation progress.
• Facilitate business quality‑control engagement for high‑impact remediation programs.
• Analyze remediation trends, identify root causes and develop insights for process improvement.
• Support the development of corrective action plans and incorporate lessons‑learned to promote sustainable solutions.
• Partner with internal audit, business units and senior leadership to communicate findings, influence decisions and foster a risk‑aware culture.

Required profile

• 6–10 years of experience in operational risk management, compliance, audit or related control functions within the financial services industry.
• Proven ability to identify, measure and manage key risks and controls.
• Strong understanding of control development, execution and remediation processes.
• Excellent analytical mindset with the capacity to translate data into actionable insights.
• Effective communication skills for influencing stakeholders at all levels.
