History & Social Studies Teacher

About the role

Golden Valley School is looking for a passionate History & Social Studies Teacher to work with middle and high school students. The role focuses on developing a dynamic curriculum that uses project‑based learning, differentiated instruction, and student‑centered approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Design creative, thorough lesson plans aligned with the Social Studies curriculum.
• Assess student progress using the methodologies applied in class.
• Maintain regular communication with students, families, and school leaders to provide feedback on performance and growth.
• Upload lesson plans, course information, learning activities, grades, and feedback to the Learning Management System.
• Participate in school committees and leadership teams dedicated to school improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies or History teaching.
• Fully bilingual in English (native or C1/C2 level).
• At least 2 years of experience teaching middle and/or high school students.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Apps for Education.
• Experience using Learning Management Systems.
• IB certification (optional but a plus).
