Generalist Process Operator I – Production

About the role

The Generalist Process Operator I supports Cargill’s production facility by operating a range of mechanical equipment, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring safe, efficient throughput of quality products. The role rotates across different work areas to meet production targets while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate production equipment and technology tools in assigned areas.
• Load and unload bulk materials, handle packaging, and manage terminal operations.
• Monitor computerized control systems and record production and inventory data.
• Perform basic machine adjustments, preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Operate mobile powered equipment such as forklifts, skid loaders, front‑end loaders, and floor sweepers.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all safety policies.

Required profile

• Willingness to work in multiple production areas as needed.
• Ability to follow established policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Commitment to quality and production efficiency.
