General Ledger Supervisor

About the role

The General Ledger Supervisor will lead the GL department of our Shared Service Center supporting the LATAM region. You will ensure accurate transaction recording, enforce internal controls, and guide the team through monthly and year‑end closing cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the General Ledger system to guarantee timely and accurate posting of all transactions.
• Implement and maintain a strict internal control framework in line with company policies.
• Prepare financial statements, conduct balance‑sheet reconciliations and detailed account analyses.
• Lead monthly and annual closing procedures, including adjustment postings.
• Review and approve journal entries prepared by the GL team.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing required documentation.
• Train, supervise and mentor a team of GL accountants.
• Integrate budgets and forecasts into the ledger structure and ensure compliance with LATAM tax regulations.
• Develop and manage accounting policies, master records, allocations, intercompany accounting, and fixed‑asset accounting.

Required profile

• 7+ years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a people‑management role.
• Proven experience as a General Ledger Lead or similar position.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification; BSc/BA in Accounting or Finance (MS/MBA preferred).
• Strong leadership, communication and detail‑orientation.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of LATAM tax and compliance requirements.
