Field Sales Representative

About the role

The Field Sales Representative will drive commercial execution and sell‑out within an assigned territory. You will spend most of your time visiting retail locations, ensuring proper brand presentation, monitoring product availability, and strengthening relationships with store owners and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Visit assigned points of sale regularly to guarantee flawless brand execution.
• Ensure compliance with display standards, planograms, promotions, and point‑of‑sale materials.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with store owners, managers, and staff.
• Monitor product availability, identify sell‑out opportunities, and implement promotional activities.
• Collect and report market intelligence, competitor activity, inventory levels, and customer needs.
• Plan and optimise routes, visits, and commercial follow‑ups.
• Participate in field activities outside the core zone when business demands.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in fast‑moving consumer goods sales, trade marketing, or similar roles.
• Hands‑on field experience managing customer visits.
• Knowledge of traditional retail channels and distribution in FMCG.
• Familiarity with the San José, Heredia and Alajuela regions.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Self‑driven, results‑oriented, organized and disciplined with excellent time‑management.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and occasionally to rural areas.
