Facilities Technician

About the role

Origin San José is seeking a hands‑on Facilities Technician to keep its wellness and hospitality property in Los Yoses clean, safe, and fully operational. You will work directly with the operations team to ensure all guest areas, mechanical systems, and outdoor spaces are maintained to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs across the property, including doors, hardware, furniture, painting, and finishes.
• Diagnose and fix plumbing issues such as leaks, drains, fixtures, valves, and water‑related systems.
• Conduct basic electrical troubleshooting and safe repairs on lighting, switches, outlets, breakers, and low‑voltage equipment.
• Carry out preventive maintenance for saunas, steam rooms, cold‑plunge/pool systems, gym areas, and common spaces.
• Execute daily facility checks to verify cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
• Identify early maintenance problems and coordinate external contractors (plumbers, electricians, HVAC, pool specialists) when needed.
• Support urgent repairs, setup tasks, deliveries, and basic facility preparation for the operations team.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience in general maintenance and repairs.
• Good practical knowledge of plumbing and basic electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently, responsibly, and with attention to detail.
• Team‑oriented, flexible, and willing to assist beyond a narrow job description.
• Punctual, organized, and proud of delivering finished, lasting work.
