Facilities Specialist

About the role

Roche is seeking a Facilities Specialist to support daily operations across multiple site locations, ensuring optimal use of office space, equipment, and building systems. The role combines operational oversight, safety compliance, financial management, and vendor coordination to maintain a high‑quality workplace environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Site Manager with daily operational tasks, including office space optimization and equipment usage.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, operational documentation, and data‑driven metric reports.
• Ensure building systems and safety protocols comply with local codes and Roche Global Engineering standards.
• Prepare business cases, cost estimates, and manage the financial lifecycle of facility projects.
• Act as primary liaison for external contractors, reviewing scopes of work, auditing performance, and overseeing work order completion.
• Provide on‑site management of building amenities and be available for on‑call duties and emergency maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of facilities management experience in a shared‑services or multi‑operational environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, especially regarding process controls, automation systems, and general control theory.

Required skills

• Security, Health, and Environment (SHE) expertise.
• Process controls and automation systems knowledge.
• General control theory.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project‑management software.
• Vendor management and performance auditing.
