Engineering Technician – Documentation & ERP Control

About the role

The Engineering Technician is responsible for owning and maintaining controlled engineering documentation and ERP master data for heavy‑gauge thermoforming programs. The role ensures that SolidWorks/EPDM specifications and NetSuite item masters, BOMs, routings, and work order packets are accurate, released, and kept up to date throughout the production lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, revise, and re‑release SolidWorks drawings, layouts, and specifications for production.
• Maintain EPDM/PDM records, metadata, and revision history; manage redlines and legacy drawing cleanup.
• Execute quick‑turn drawing edits and controlled releases to support urgent production needs.
• Create and maintain NetSuite item masters, BOMs, routings, work instructions, and packaging instructions.
• Perform BOM and inventory hygiene to ensure work orders contain all required components.
• Administer Engineering Change Requests/Orders (ECR/ECO) and deviations, routing approvals, tracking progress, and ensuring closure.
• Coordinate work order refresh/reprint when ERP data changes occur.
• Participate in daily production cadence and Production Launch Error Proof meetings to eliminate documentation‑driven downtime.

Required profile

• Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple documentation streams.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 document control and traceability requirements.
• Ability to provide timely support to plant personnel during normal business hours.
