Engineer, Supplier Quality III

About the role

AbbVie is seeking an Engineer, Supplier Quality III to support and follow up with suppliers, ensuring that quality‑relevant materials and services meet specifications and company requirements. The role involves maintaining supplier compliance, documenting processes, and collaborating across functions to meet regulatory and internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Open, track, and close SCARs (Supply Corrective Actions) and approve closures in the GTW system.
• Monitor blocked, on‑hold, and quarantine materials and determine disposition.
• Review and approve material disposition for non‑conforming items.
• Participate in supplier metrics and controls meetings, escalating issues as needed.
• Support projects such as supply assurance, new product introduction, supplier qualification, and transfer.
• Receive and evaluate change notifications from local and international suppliers, leading interdisciplinary impact assessments.
• Prepare, coordinate, and execute First Articles and Change Plans for material changes or new qualifications.
• Review material specifications for new qualifications or changes.
• Handle deviations, non‑conformances, CAPAs, and internal audit responses.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, electronic, electromechanical, industrial engineering, biotechnology, or chemistry.
• Minimum B2+ English proficiency (C1 preferred).
• At least 3 years of experience in regulated industries with supplier quality management expertise.
• Experience as a supplier or internal auditor is a plus.
• Certificates or experience in electrical, mechanical, electronic, or electromechanical fields are advantageous.
