Engineer II, Manufacturing

About the role

Baxter is seeking an Engineer II, Manufacturing to develop, optimize, validate, and sustain molding, extrusion, and automation processes in a regulated environment. This hands‑on position provides direct technical support to manufacturing operations and drives continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve molding, extrusion, and automation processes, integrating robotics, vision systems, PLCs, equipment, tools, resins, and electromechanical systems.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence initiatives such as Kaizen, standardized work, Kanban, mini‑cells, and Heijunka.
• Identify, analyze, and solve problems using scientific molding, Build of Experiments (BOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and structured problem‑solving methods.
• Support product transfers, process validations, and ensure long‑term sustainability of highly automated equipment and tooling.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Product Development to deliver robust, compliant, and cost‑effective manufacturing solutions.
