About the role

Pan‑American School is seeking a dedicated Security Manager to ensure the safety of students, staff and visitors across its campus in Costa Rica. The role involves leading security operations, fostering a culture of safety, and integrating security protocols into all school policies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the highest safety standards for the school community.
• Promote safety awareness by training staff and students on security protocols.
• Develop and implement action plans that address threats and vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with school leadership to embed security considerations in all policies.
• Monitor compliance with local and international regulations to ensure legal and ethical security management.

Required profile

• Private security certification (preferred).
• Previous security management experience, ideally in an educational setting.
• In‑depth knowledge of Costa Rican security legislation and international best practices.
• Experience in emergency response planning and risk assessment.
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage security personnel and external contractors.
