Senior Director Occupational Safety LATAM

About the role

We are looking for a bold, visionary leader to develop and implement a Safety Transformational Strategy across Latin America, aligned with our global safety commitments. The role will drive a step‑change in health and safety culture, accelerate system capabilities, and ensure best‑in‑class leadership throughout our manufacturing and distribution supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Elevate and execute the long‑term safety strategy and step‑change plan, delivering quick wins and mid‑term initiatives in collaboration with bottlers, vendors, public policy bodies and government agencies.
• Champion safety and health organizational strategies, embedding a proactive safety culture into operational processes and company values.
• Steer safety initiatives across the operating unit, ensuring alignment with global occupational safety and health commitments.
• Lead governance, compliance and innovation efforts to protect employees and enhance regional and corporate reputation.
• Make critical organizational and capital‑expenditure decisions related to occupational safety.
• Act as a business partner, linking safety outcomes to short‑ and long‑term business performance.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of experience in technical/safety operations, with a proven track record of leading large‑scale safety culture transformations.
• Leadership experience directing change‑management programs in complex, multi‑site environments (manufacturing or logistics).
• Background in industries such as chemical, oil & gas, automotive or pharmaceutical is valued.
• Exceptional communication skills, able to translate complex safety concepts into actionable business insights.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
