Document Review Engineer (BTP)

About the role

We are looking for a Document Review Engineer to support our BTP (building‑to‑production) projects by reviewing and validating customer‑supplied engineering documentation. The role ensures that all documents are complete, accurate and ready for quoting, award and production phases.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer engineering documents for completeness, identify missing or conflicting information, and assess manufacturability.
• Perform detailed post‑award reviews, validate Bills of Materials and release them into the ERP system.
• Generate and communicate engineering discrepancies, risks, scope changes and formal change notifications.
• Coordinate with site engineering, applications, controls, procurement and project management teams to keep reviews on schedule.
• Maintain accurate records of findings and support pre‑production technical assessments.
• Contribute to post‑project retrospectives and improve documentation review processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting mechanical and assembly drawings, Bills of Materials and engineering specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within defined time constraints.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Desirable: experience in custom automation projects.
