Desktop Support Engineer

About the role

Syniverse is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to serve as the single point of contact for end‑user computing support. You will install, troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade hardware and software to ensure optimal performance across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced hands‑on and remote support for Windows workstations, printers, audio/visual equipment, and corporate mobile devices.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding tasks, including device provisioning, account setup, permission assignment, and asset recovery.
• Administer Microsoft Exchange distribution lists and shared mailboxes.
• Deliver engineering‑level support for Office 365 applications such as OneDrive, Teams, and Outlook.
• Investigate and resolve LAN, Wi‑Fi, and VPN connectivity issues, coordinating with network teams as needed.
• Enforce device security and compliance policies using Intune, MFA, and password standards.
• Track, replace, and update hardware assets; support annual inventory audits.
• Act as an escalation point for complex service‑desk tickets and coordinate with specialized resolver groups.
• Participate in software lifecycle management, including whitelisting and vendor liaison.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a help‑desk or desktop‑support role.
• Industry certifications such as MSCA or MCSE are a plus.
