Data Modeler

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Modeler to work closely with Data Engineers, Data Architects and Application Development teams. The role focuses on translating business requirements into scalable logical and physical data models that improve data accessibility, quality and governance across our enterprise data warehouse and data marts.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and translate business needs into long‑term data models.
• Create and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models for reporting layers and data marts.
• Collaborate with application development teams to implement data strategies, build data flows and develop conceptual models.
• Optimize and update existing models to support new and ongoing projects.
• Analyze system integration challenges and propose data‑centric solutions.
• Define and communicate data standards, best practices and architecture guidelines.
• Support development teams with database design, mentoring and governance policies.
• Write complex SQL statements for data profiling, performance tuning and database design input.
• Develop DDL/DML scripts to deploy structures and load data.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience, with at least 8 years designing data models for enterprise data warehouses and data marts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, Amazon Redshift), NoSQL technologies and data architecture.
• Proven expertise in SQL performance tuning and complex query development.
• Experience with ER modeling, big‑data concepts and enterprise canonical models.
• Ability to lead stakeholder sessions, translate conceptual models into logical/physical designs and mentor data‑engineering teams.
