Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our fast‑growing online training company. The role will focus on designing, building and optimizing data pipelines and data warehouses that power our reporting and analytics platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, integrating on‑premise relational and semi‑structured sources with cloud MPP solutions.
• Develop data warehouses following best‑practice architectures such as Medallion, dimensional modelling, Kimball and Data Vault 2.0.
• Implement robust data models that support high‑performance reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity and quality through strong data‑governance, security and compliance practices.
• Maintain version‑controlled code bases and support ongoing data‑integration and visualisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer working with complex data architectures.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to solve challenging data problems.
• Excellent communication skills to work with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Azure Data Factory
• Snowflake or other MPP data warehouses
• Relational database systems (SQL)
• Data modelling and data‑warehouse design (Medallion, Dimensional modelling, Kimball, Data Vault 2.0)
• Version control (e.g., Git)
