Data Architect – Data Streaming Center of Excellence

About the role

World Wide Technology is seeking an experienced Data Architect to join its Data Streaming Center of Excellence. In this role you will partner with customers and internal teams to design and implement event‑driven, data‑in‑motion solutions that enable modern, scalable architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Engage early with customers to understand business objectives and data streaming challenges.
• Design event‑driven architectures in collaboration with client and WWT application development teams.
• Provide pre‑sales technical guidance, translate requirements into concrete solutions, and deliver demos.
• Act as a trusted advisor on data streaming best practices, platform selection, and implementation strategies.
• Contribute to the growth of the Data Engineering practice through knowledge sharing and mentorship.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a software or data architect with a focus on streaming technologies.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
• Self‑motivated, collaborative mindset and commitment to WWT’s core values.
• Experience working in agile environments, participating in stand‑ups, demos, and retrospectives.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of data streaming concepts and event‑driven architecture.
• Experience designing and implementing large‑scale data pipelines.
• Ability to evaluate and recommend streaming platforms and related technologies.
