Corporate & Litigation Attorney

About the role

PredictaBill, an Alternative Legal Services Provider, is seeking a Commercially‑minded attorney to join its team. The role combines corporate law work with litigation and dispute resolution, allowing the lawyer to act as an extension of client in‑house teams and deliver practical, technology‑enabled advice.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on day‑to‑day corporate and commercial matters, including incorporations, restructurings and shareholding changes.
• Draft and review shareholders’ and board resolutions, powers of attorney, corporate agreements and other corporate documentation.
• Manage corporate governance, filings with the Costa Rican National Registry and other authorities.
• Review and draft commercial agreements and related legal documentation.
• Handle civil, commercial and collection proceedings, drafting claims, motions, appeals and other litigation documents.
• Develop litigation strategies, assess procedural and substantive risks, and provide clear risk assessments to clients.
• Represent clients in judicial and administrative proceedings and manage pre‑litigation matters such as demand letters and settlement negotiations.
• Monitor deadlines, hearings and procedural requirements across all matters.

Required profile

• Law degree and authorization to practice law in Costa Rica.
• 3–5 years of experience combining corporate and litigation work.
• Strong knowledge of Costa Rican corporate, commercial and procedural law.
• Proven ability to manage legal matters autonomously and handle multiple clients simultaneously.
• Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish, written and spoken.
