Abogado/a Junior Litigante

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Litigation Lawyer to join the Litigation Department of Aselecom Abogados. The role offers the opportunity to develop professionally in a dynamic, technology‑driven environment focused on client service excellence. The successful candidate will support the handling and monitoring of civil, commercial and labour court cases.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor ongoing judicial processes and case files.
• Draft and review legal documents such as petitions, defenses, appeals and other court filings.
• Conduct legal research and analyse statutes, regulations and case law.
• Assist in preparing for hearings, meetings and procedural strategies.
• Coordinate actions with courts, public institutions and other entities.
• Maintain communication and follow‑up on assigned matters with the litigation team.
• Support other tasks required by the Litigation Department.

Required profile

• Law degree and active registration with the Costa Rican Bar Association.
• Knowledge or experience in civil, commercial and labour litigation.
• Excellent writing, spelling and legal reasoning abilities.
• Strong organizational, analytical and teamwork skills.
• Proactive attitude, willingness to learn and adapt to modern, collaborative, technology‑enabled work.
• Fluency in English is a plus, not mandatory.
• Valid driver’s licence is a plus, not mandatory.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
