Commercial Data Analyst

About the role

Colgate-Palmolive is looking for a Commercial Data Analyst in San Jose, Costa Rica. The role is an expert, advisor and developer of tools that turn the best quality information available from Walmart into advanced analysis, capturing opportunities across product categories so the company can grow beyond the market and meet its internal goals.

Key responsibilities

• Own the consolidation and management of multi-source databases (Retail Link, Scintilla, D&N, Scanning, Nielsen, SAP and BI) to produce an accurate, on-time consolidated regional Sell-Out report.
• Analyze sales performance, PTC activities across countries and in-store tracking compliance to recommend actions that accelerate sell-out for assigned categories.
• Build dashboards and reporting tools with Tableau, DOMO and Power BI to support commercial decisions, ad-hoc projects and growth scenarios.
• Handle Walmart Connect processes and analytics, including purchase orders, market fair value analysis, KPI tracking and project results, coordinating with local teams, Finance, IBE and Marketing.
• Support internal forums such as Walmart update meetings, commercial reviews, Mid-Year Reviews and budget alignments with analytical content and presentations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 2 years of experience in data processing, customer management and commercial reporting.
• Intermediate-advanced English.
• Basic functional knowledge of commercial areas, marketing principles, logistics and demand planning.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Tableau, DOMO and Power BI, and advanced Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
• Preferred: hands-on experience with Retail Link, Scintilla, RSI, SAP and BI systems, and familiarity with Google Suite and database query tools.
