About the role

Appnovation is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the design and scaling of its platform on AWS. You will work with a motivated team to transform a pilot solution into an enterprise‑grade service supporting tens of thousands of users across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Architect the platform for enterprise scale (tens of thousands of users) on AWS.
• Evaluate and design scalability for the Postgres/Supabase backend, including caching tiers, multi‑region deployment, and global federation.
• Own load‑testing strategy and define responsiveness targets across geographies.
• Ensure the architecture meets security and access‑control requirements for sensitive content.
• Produce architecture diagrams, decision records, and technical standards.
• Guide and mentor engineers on cloud best practices and patterns.
• Define non‑functional requirements such as availability, resilience, cost, and observability.
• Partner with security and compliance teams to satisfy enterprise controls.
• Support build‑vs‑buy decisions and evaluate new technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a solution architecture role.
• Senior‑level cloud architecture experience on AWS; AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification preferred.
• Proven experience designing high‑scale, low‑latency, multi‑region distributed systems.

Required skills

• AWS (compute, networking, IAM, cost optimization, observability tooling).
• PostgreSQL and Supabase.
• Caching strategies and data federation.
• Load‑testing and performance tuning.
• Security architecture, RBAC/ABAC.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code: Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Containerization: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong networking knowledge.
