Case Manager – Workers' Compensation (Remote, Costa Rica)

About the role

The Disability & Leave Services (DLS) team at Amazon is seeking a remote Case Manager specialized in Workers’ Compensation to support employees worldwide. Based in Costa Rica, you will act as the single point of contact for employees throughout leave of absence or disability events, ensuring a trusted and seamless case management experience.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate and respond to employee inquiries about leave, disability events, benefits, and options.
• Review medical documentation and adjudicate leaves in compliance with Amazon policies, federal and state regulations.
• Develop and adjust case management plans based on changing employee needs and duration guidelines.
• Troubleshoot issues, remove barriers, and facilitate smooth return‑to‑work and ramp‑back plans.
• Educate managers and business partners on employee concerns before and after leave periods.
• Maintain accurate system records and communicate regular updates to employees and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with third‑party administrators, HR, Safety, Legal, Payroll, Benefits and other internal teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Experience in a client‑ or customer‑service oriented professional role.
• Strong English‑language communication skills.
