Buyer I – 1 Year Contract

About the role

The Buyer I will support procurement and supply‑chain activities for a global manufacturing organization. Working on a one‑year contract, you will ensure that materials, components and services are available on time to keep production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Create, review and manage purchase orders based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP) recommendations.
• Monitor open orders, follow up with suppliers on confirmations and delivery dates, and analyse shortages or supply risks.
• Maintain accurate supplier, material and purchasing data in the ERP system.
• Develop and sustain relationships with local and international suppliers, tracking delivery, quality and service performance.
• Collaborate with Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, Engineering, Finance and Strategic Sourcing teams to align supply‑chain priorities.
• Generate and analyse reports on purchasing activity, inventory levels and supplier performance.
• Identify and support continuous‑improvement initiatives, including inventory reduction and Lean projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, International Business, Economics or related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain or materials planning, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail and effective communication skills.
