Buyer Associate – Portuguese (Global Procurement Shared Services)

About the role

As a Buyer Associate supporting the North America and LATAM procurement teams, you will handle operational purchasing tasks, vendor onboarding, catalog maintenance and help‑desk support. The role is based onsite at Amazon’s SJO11 building in San José and reports to the Procurement Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Perform PR2PO approval and compliance checks for internal stakeholders.
• Provide PO support, including transmission, delivery queries and proof‑of‑delivery accuracy.
• Meet service level agreements for standard tasks such as PO creation.
• Achieve assigned project targets and objectives.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal customers and suppliers.
• Ensure adherence to Amazon’s Spending and Transaction Policy and global procurement processes.
• Participate in cross‑functional improvement projects.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• 1 + year of customer service or professional work experience.
• Proficiency in English (minimum B2) and Portuguese (minimum B1).
• Experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Preferred: 1 + year of purchasing, inventory management or supply‑chain experience.
