Bilingual Payroll Tax Specialist

About the role

This position is responsible for ensuring accurate payroll tax compliance across multiple states and entities. The specialist will act as a subject‑matter expert on tax filings, reporting, and reconciliation, supporting both quarterly and year‑end processes.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, reconcile and support tax compliance on a pay‑period basis.
• Prepare and file payroll tax returns (e.g., 941, W‑2) and related notices.
• Maintain payroll‑related tax accounts within third‑party tax vendor systems.
• Collaborate with Finance/Accounting to reconcile payroll tax accounts to the general ledger.
• Perform internal audits of payroll tax data and assist external auditors.
• Stay current on legislative changes, tax equalization rules, and recommend process improvements.
• Work with Payroll Specialists and HRIS to create and maintain tax reports in Workday.
• Address tax exceptions with Payroll Managers and third‑party vendors.

Required profile

• Bilingual proficiency (English and another language).
• FPC or CPP designation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and filing requirements.
• Experience supporting quarter‑end and year‑end tax reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Finance, HR, and external vendors.

Required skills

• Preparation of payroll tax filings such as Form 941 and W‑2.
