About the role

We are looking for a General Food Service Assistant to support the operations of our institutional cafeteria in Heredia. The role involves preparing and serving meals while ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food following hygiene and food safety regulations.
• Wash and maintain work areas, equipment, and service lines, providing support in the kitchen.
• Ensure high quality and safety in cleaning, sanitation, and food preparation.
• Assist in preliminary food preparation according to established quality standards.
• Serve customers at the service line with a positive attitude and service orientation.
• Collaborate with the team on operational tasks related to the kitchen and dining area.

Required profile

• Completed secondary education (9th grade).
• Valid food handling certificate.
• Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings (preferred).
• Ability to work in a team and adapt to rotating shift schedules (morning, afternoon, night).
• Positive service attitude and commitment to customer excellence.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Ability to operate and clean kitchen equipment.
