Associate Consultant Intern – Business Experimentation (2027)

About the role

Mastercard’s Advisors & Consulting Services (ACS) team is seeking an Associate Consultant Intern for its Business Experimentation track in San Jose, Costa Rica. The 2027 internship offers a hands‑on opportunity to work with leading brands, applying data‑driven methods to solve strategic challenges across industries such as finance, retail, hospitality and more.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate in small, cross‑functional teams to design and execute business experiments using Mastercard’s Test & Learn® platform.
• Analyze client data, run SQL queries, and interpret predictive‑analytics results to inform recommendations.
• Support the preparation of client deliverables, presentations, and reports.
• Participate in volunteer activities and team‑building events.
• Engage with senior consultants and leadership through networking sessions and speaker series.

Required profile

• Current undergraduate or graduate student interested in consulting, data analytics, or technology‑focused business roles.
• Strong analytical mindset with a willingness to take ownership of deliverables.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients.

Required skills

• SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Familiarity with predictive‑analytics concepts or platforms.
