Associate Analyst, Accounting

About the role

As an Associate Analyst in Accounting, you will support Edwards Lifesciences’ finance team by ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with U.S. GAAP and other regulations. Your work will directly contribute to the company’s mission of improving patients’ lives worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries in line with accounting standards and company policies.
• Maintain accuracy, completeness, and documentation for financial transactions, audits (e.g., SOX) and general ledger reconciliations.
• Support month‑end and quarter‑end close activities, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to resolve accounting issues.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and system efficiency, including participation in User Acceptance Testing.
• Assist team members as needed and ensure compliance with regulations such as the Sunshine Act, SEC, IRS, and local GAAP.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in general accounting or related processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
• Effective communication skills in English; basic to intermediate Portuguese is a plus.

• Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) compliance
