Analyst, Inventory Accounting

About the role

As an Analyst in Inventory Accounting at Baxter, you will support the finance function across multiple entities, ensuring accurate accounting, reporting, and compliance. You will work closely with regional and global teams to deliver high‑quality financial information and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare manual journals with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Prepare reserves such as Errors & Omissions (E&O) and Net Realizable Value (NRV) for complex entities.
• Conduct complex accounting variance analysis as needed.
• Complete account reconciliations in Blackline within established deadlines.
• Respond promptly to queries from local country finance teams.
• Provide audit support when required.
• Support regional and global reporting, including monthly Balance Sheet and P&L flux analysis.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, internal and external audit requirements, and local regulations while strengthening financial processes and controls.
• Participate in local, regional, and global projects as needed.
• Identify and pursue continuous process‑improvement opportunities.
• Manage PPV, PII, and IRV processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (or 50‑75% of career completion).
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting or inventory accounting experience.
• Background in manufacturing accounting.
• Proven experience in a multinational environment and/or audit.
• Good knowledge of US GAAP.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, diplomatic, flexible, and a “can‑do” mindset.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
