Accounting Representative III

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is looking for an Accounting Representative III to join the Record to Report (RtR) Accounting Operations team. The role supports core financial processes, ensures data accuracy, and collaborates with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting issues. It offers exposure to multiple ERP platforms in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
• Perform account reconciliations, including intercompany balances.
• Support month‑end close and financial reporting activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.
• Collaborate with business partners to resolve accounting queries.
• Identify and implement continuous process improvements.
• Utilize ERP systems and financial tools such as Hyperion or BlackLine.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in accounting operations, preferably in a multinational organization.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational skills.
• Fluent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems – Oracle, SAP, JDE.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with financial tools such as Hyperion or BlackLine.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.
