Tax Accountant (Remote – LATAM)

About the role

As a Tax Accountant at GBS Group you will work remotely from anywhere in LATAM, providing expert tax guidance, preparing tax returns and ensuring compliance for US‑based clients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality tax services.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze financial information and prepare reports to determine assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and tax liabilities.
• Prepare a variety of US tax returns, including 1040, 1040NR, FBAR, 1120, 1120S, 1120F, 1065, and 5471.
• Review and process client financial documentation such as bank statements.
• Assist clients in complying with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Perform additional accounting and tax‑related tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Taxation.
• 5+ years of experience in US tax preparation.
• Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• QuickBooks.
• Tax preparation software (e.g., UltraTax CS).
