Systems Support Engineer – Cloud & On-Prem Applications

About the role

Join Akamai’s IT Support team as a Systems Support Engineer. You will ensure cloud‑based and on‑premises applications run smoothly, mentor engineers, and resolve complex technical issues for internal business functions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support and mentorship for SaaS, Linux and on‑prem application engineers.
• Own problem resolution, collaborating with internal support, operations and engineering teams.
• Understand application architecture and establish processes for cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Support Oracle HCM data migration, extracts and reporting.
• Collaborate with BSA, developers and business stakeholders to gather requirements and maintain HCM applications.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain system stability and performance.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in IT support or engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud HCM modules (Core HR, ORC, Benefits, Talent Management, Learning Journeys, Alerts).
• Hands‑on experience with data migration tools such as HDL and HSDL.
• Ability to build custom reports and business processes using SQL, PL/SQL, Fast Formulas, HCM Extracts, BI Publisher and OTBI.
• Experience developing integrations with OIC, SOA, REST APIs or equivalent middleware.
• Understanding of HCM data structures, security profiles, role‑based access and UI personalisation.
