Supervisor, Inventory Accounting

About the role

The Supervisor, Inventory Accounting leads the Americas Inventory Accounting team, ensuring accurate month‑end close processes and driving continuous improvement across inventory transactions. This position partners with global and local finance teams, as well as external providers, to support Baxter’s mission of delivering reliable healthcare solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee month‑end close activities and monthly reviews for the Inventory Accounting team.
• Review, approve, and post inventory‑related reconciliations and journal entries in Blackline.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with finance, non‑finance, and external partners to maintain and improve shared processes, tools, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal and external audit requirements, and local regulations.
• Build and develop high‑performing teams, focusing on engagement and talent growth.
• Provide financial expertise for local, regional, and global projects as needed.
• Conduct regular meetings with inventory leadership to review performance and address issues.
• Raise process issues promptly and ensure service level agreement adherence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or inventory accounting.
• At least 2 years of experience leading teams to achieve results.
