About the role

Cloudera is building a hybrid‑cloud platform for enterprise customers using Kubernetes and cutting‑edge CNCF technologies. As a Staff System Engineer you will help design, scale, and secure the Taikun APIs that power AI and big‑data workloads across thousands of clusters.

Key responsibilities

Improve scaling solutions to support thousands of clusters and applications.
Ensure platform compliance with security standards such as SPIRE/SPIFFE and certifications like FedRamp.
Participate in greenfield architecture design for company‑wide observability standardisation.
Provide seamless upgrade paths for heavy stateful workloads.
Implement new features for APIs, Kubernetes operators, and internal tooling.

Required profile

Proficiency with Kubernetes and cloud‑native technologies.
6+ years of development experience building platform tools and systems (Golang or other languages).
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
BSc/MSc in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
