Software Engineer – Remote Contract (up to $75/hr)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join our remote team on a contract basis. You will work on building reinforcement learning environments and backend services that support AI model development.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain reinforcement learning environments for backend programming tasks.
• Develop backend services and supporting code using Java, Python, Node.js, Go, or Rust.
• Create comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure high test coverage.
• Review code for correctness, performance, maintainability, and security.
• Document technical reasoning and engineering decisions to improve AI model quality.
• Collaborate asynchronously with a distributed team.

Required profile

• Strong experience in backend software development with Java, Node.js, Go, or Rust.
• Proven track record building scalable backend systems and APIs.
• Experience in debugging, performance optimization, and automated testing.
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices and code review.
• Preferred exposure to cybersecurity or SecOps, including application security and secure coding.
