Software Engineer – Remote Contract (up to $65/hr)

About the role

We are looking for a technical problem‑solver to design and implement robust checkers for competitive programming challenges. This remote contract position offers flexible hours (10‑40 hrs/week) and a competitive rate of $45‑$65 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement checkers for problems with multiple valid outputs, ensuring accuracy and resilience.
• Evaluate participant submissions against complex statements sourced from platforms such as Codeforces.
• Collaborate with the client’s team to refine problem requirements and resolve ambiguities.
• Write clear, maintainable C++ code to handle diverse outputs and edge cases efficiently.
• Document checker logic and communicate edge cases both in writing and verbally.
• Provide feedback to problem setters and reviewers on test case and checker improvements.
• Stay current with competitive programming standards and incorporate best practices.
