Senior Software Engineer – Remote Contract ($70/hr)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our remote team on a contract basis. You will work 10‑40 hours per week, contributing expert‑level code and helping modernize large, complex codebases.

Key responsibilities

• Write high‑quality code samples, debugging strategies, and development insights across multiple languages.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software defects and performance bottlenecks.
• Design and implement robust new features with scalability and maintainability in mind.
• Refactor and optimize legacy code to improve clarity and efficiency.
• Document technical reasoning and solution approaches to support AI training data quality.
• Review and validate peer‑contributed code for accuracy and clarity.

Required profile

• Significant hands‑on expertise in at least one of the following: Python3, Java, Rust, Go, C++, or TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and core software engineering principles.
• Proven ability to debug complex systems and deliver effective performance optimizations.
• Experience modernizing large codebases and refactoring legacy systems.
• Strong documentation and communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly.
