Senior Project Manager – Medical Device Development

About the role

The Senior Project Manager will lead new process‑product development projects for medical devices, translating customer specifications into hands‑on solutions. You will guide projects from concept through detailed phase‑gate development to manufacturing and commercialization, ensuring high quality and cost‑effective outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate new product development with customers and internal teams, managing schedules, budgets, resources and task prioritisation.
• Provide visibility on project status, escalations and issue resolution across engineering, business development and management.
• Facilitate cross‑functional communication and ensure alignment between engineering, supply chain and manufacturing.
• Review designs, generate bills of materials, obtain pricing, draft quotations and project scopes.
• Support component and device testing, equipment qualification and process validation activities.
• Drive pilot production across multiple sites and ensure successful completion of stage‑gate reviews.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for Design History Files and production records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in the medical industry, with a strong background in project management.
• Previous experience as a Process or Product Development R&D Engineer is a plus.
• Proven ability to manage complex, cross‑functional projects and meet performance targets.
