Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Backend Focused)

About the role

Software Mind is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus. You will design, build, and operate scalable backend services that power core business workflows and data‑driven products, while also contributing to a modest front‑end layer when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement reliable, scalable backend services and data pipelines.
• Develop and maintain applications primarily using Python and SQL.
• Drive engineering best practices around testing, code quality, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Improve system observability and resolve production issues.
• Build data ingestion services using APIs and batch file processing.
• Modernize legacy workflows by replacing manual or spreadsheet‑driven processes with automated systems.
• Create internal dashboards and real‑time operational services.
• Automate manual investigations and enable self‑service for stakeholders.
• Enhance monitoring, alerting, and data‑quality checks across pipelines.
• Collaborate with product, analytics, and operations teams to align technical solutions with business needs.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, technical direction, and roadmap planning.
• Support the front‑end layer (~30%) using HTML, HTMX, Jinja templates, and Python‑based rendering.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in backend and full‑stack development.
• Strong proficiency in English (written and oral) at B2‑C1 level.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
