Senior Android Developer (Contractor)

About the role

E‑IT Professionals is looking for a Senior Android Developer on a contract basis to join an enterprise client’s fast‑paced Agile team. You will design, develop, and evolve complex Android applications, delivering production‑ready solutions with minimal ramp‑up time.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade Android apps using Kotlin (primary) and Java.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following modern Android best practices.
• Implement robust architectural patterns such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, and MVI.
• Integrate apps with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce engineering standards, and mentor junior developers.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and QA teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate technical decisions to stakeholders.
• Optimize performance, memory usage, and battery consumption; write unit, integration, and UI tests.
• Support release activities, production deployments, and post‑release maintenance.

Required profile

• 9+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong production‑level expertise in Kotlin and solid experience with Java.
• Deep understanding of the Android platform, including lifecycle, multithreading, coroutines, and system APIs.
• Proven experience with Jetpack components (ViewModel, LiveData/Flow, Room, Navigation) and networking libraries (Retrofit, OkHttp).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models and strong Git version‑control skills.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication abilities; able to work independently in a client‑facing contractor role.
