Senior Accounts Payable Analyst

About the role

Equifax is hiring a Senior Accounts Payable Analyst in Sabana, Colombia, within its accounting function. The role covers high-volume AP/AR processes, reconciling general ledger accounts for month-end close, and preparing, recording and reporting AP/AR transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Handle high-volume accounts receivable and payable processes with internal and external stakeholders.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts for month-end close and maintain and reconcile AP/AR ledger accounts, financial statements and reports.
• Analyze AP/AR transactions and present solutions that improve revenue and client satisfaction.
• Prepare, record, verify and report on AP/AR transactions.
• Assess creditworthiness, negotiate collections and manage trade credit policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma, or a technical accounting degree or 2+ years of relevant college coursework in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• 2+ years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience.
• 1-3 years in Billing, Contract Management, Finance or Sales Support.
• 1 year of experience working independently, managing cross-functional stakeholders and communicating clearly in writing and verbally.
• B2 English proficiency.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Preferred: advanced Excel (macros) and BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau to analyse spending trends.
• Ability to partner with Procurement, Treasury, IT and other stakeholders to resolve invoice holds, with attention to detail to avoid duplicate payments and GL coding errors.
