Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to join Sumo Logic’s accounting team. The role supports the monthly, quarterly and annual close processes across multiple entities, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with U.S. GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly and annual close cycles, preparing journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations and flux analysis.
• Assist with external quarterly reviews, annual and statutory audits.
• Manage month‑end close for international subsidiaries, including intercompany journal entries, eliminations and consolidation.
• Coordinate intercompany funding activities and monitor banking requirements for global entities.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to provide accurate financial data and reporting.
• Identify and drive process‑improvement and automation initiatives to enhance controls and close efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies.
• Contribute to special projects, ad‑hoc analyses and management initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or Chartered Accountant certification preferred.
• 4–6+ years of accounting experience in SaaS/technology or high‑growth environments; public accounting or Big 4 background a plus.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and consolidation reporting.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in business‑level English.
• Detail‑oriented, organized and able to multitask in a fast‑paced, multi‑entity global organization.
