Remote Biologist – Contract (CRISPR & AI Training)

About the role

Micro1 is seeking a remote Biologist on a contract basis to support AI model training through high‑quality molecular biology data. You will apply your expertise in CRISPR, cloning, and sequencing to generate and validate genetic constructs that feed directly into AI pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, optimise and execute CRISPR‑based gene‑editing experiments.
• Develop cloning strategies to create novel constructs and cell lines.
• Perform genotyping, PCR assays and sequence analyses to confirm genetic modifications.
• Design synthetic DNA/RNA sequences and contribute to high‑throughput screening logic.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to translate experimental results into structured data for AI training.
• Document procedures and results with precision to ensure reproducibility.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology or a related field.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with CRISPR, cloning, genotyping and PCR‑based assays.
• Strong attention to scientific detail and data accuracy.
• Self‑driven, collaborative and able to contribute to high‑impact research projects.
