Platform Design Engineer

About the role

CloudPay is seeking a Platform Design Engineer to shape and maintain its secure cloud infrastructure. You will work with a fast‑growing engineering team that builds sophisticated payroll and payment services on AWS and open‑source technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Provision, maintain and design secure cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Collaborate with the Platform Operations team on complex technical challenges and incident response.
• Build and manage secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of platform components.
• Partner with software engineers and fellow platform designers across multiple regions.

Required profile

• Experience working in agile teams and using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Strong understanding of GitOps, IT security (GDPR, encryption, patching, least‑privilege), and networking concepts (VPNs, VPCs, transit gateways, routing, DNS, firewalls).
• Ownership mindset, integrity, teamwork, and customer‑focused attitude.
