Lead Financial Analyst – FP&A (Anaplan)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Lead Financial Analyst to join its Finance Business Partner (FBP) team in San Jose, Costa Rica. You will act as a strategic advisor to executive leaders, translating business strategy into actionable financial plans and providing insight‑driven recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the subject‑matter expert for the Anaplan Planning and Forecasting platform.
• Assist in the execution of plans, forecasts, budgets and analytics across the organization.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design systemic solutions and drive sustainable impact within the planning system.
• Lead implementation of Anaplan enhancements, managing stakeholder engagement, communications and change‑management activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Anaplan defects, delivering regular status updates to Finance Business Partners.
• Analyze financial data, develop insights and recommend actions for projects and initiatives.
• Assess investments and performance metrics to uncover key business drivers.
• Collect and analyze data using advanced techniques to identify trends and relationships.
• Evaluate management reporting processes and propose improvements.
• Support FP&A change programs aimed at increasing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop project plans, track milestones and raise issues proactively.
• Create presentations tailored to senior audiences and facilitate decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant finance experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and deliver actionable insights.
• Experience working collaboratively with business leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and ability to manage change initiatives.
