Junior Associate Accountant

About the role

Publicis Groupe is looking for a Junior Associate Accountant to support the team in accounting and financial activities for Publicis Groupe/Re:Sources entities across the serviced countries in the Americas region. The role covers month-end close, billing, accounts payable, intercompany balances and financial reporting, following Publicis Groupe policies and the Financial Analysis environment (actuals, budgets, forecasts and financial statements).

Key responsibilities

• Complete monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities according to departmental operational KPIs.
• Prepare and post medium-complexity journal entries in the accounting system and manage the general ledger, meeting group closing deadlines.
• Update financial reports for assigned general ledger accounts and reconcile intercompany balances, following up on discrepancies with related entities.
• Create, extend, close or modify jobs, purchase orders, customers and vendors in the accounting system; approve supplier invoices in the workflow system and monitor Accounts Payable reports so invoices are processed before cutoff dates.
• Manage and verify the end-to-end billing process, requesting billing through the Bot or processing billing drafts in the accounting system.
• Prepare FMC controls for the entities in scope and upload them to the BlackLine system.
• Support internal, FMC and external audits, escalate issues and deviations to management, and identify process improvements.
• Take part in special projects such as migrations, system implementations and support for other regions.

Required profile

• University studies in Business Administration or Accounting.
• B2 English level (oral and written).
• 1 to 2 years of experience in the accounting cycle, intercompany processes and month-end close, financial report preparation, and journal entry preparation and review.
