Inventory Data Analyst – Power BI & SAP

About the role

The Inventory Data Analyst will be the primary expert for Power BI dashboard development, SQL‑based data processing, and automated inventory reporting. Working closely with Supply Chain and Field Inventory teams, you will ensure accurate data flows from SAP and related systems while supporting compliance with SOX and other regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards that monitor inventory performance, variances and operational metrics.
• Write SQL queries and build data models (Power Query/DAX) to extract, transform and load data from SAP and other sources into governed datasets.
• Perform field inventory reconciliations, variance analysis and root‑cause investigations, proposing corrective actions.
• Partner with Field Count and Logistics teams to capture accurate data, document reconciling items and validate adjustments for approval.
• Build finance dashboards that reflect P&L impact, material‑ and batch‑level analytics and trend insights.
• Support post‑count validation through dashboard‑driven analytics and automated checks, summarising financial impacts for management.
• Identify and implement process automations using Power BI, SQL and Excel scripting to improve efficiency, control and auditability.
• Contribute to ad‑hoc analytics and digital reporting initiatives across Finance and Supply Chain.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in inventory, finance, data analytics or reporting.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Familiarity with SOX compliance, SAP environments and multinational operations is preferred.

Required skills

• Power BI development (data modeling, DAX, Power Query).
• SQL query writing and data manipulation.
• Experience with SAP data extraction.
• Excel scripting/advanced Excel for automation.
